10 Days To Go!

NoraWell, guess we should introduce ourselves.
Hi, I’m Nora. I’m a 20-year old girl, about to embark on a fantastically exciting adventure; university. I’ve only ever been to the UK once, and that was visiting Glasgow for a week last April, so one might wonder why I’m choosing to spend the next 4 years of my life there. Well, that is what this blog is for. We will methodically record our daily lives there, while trying to wrap our heads around a new culture. Meanwhile, I’ll be studying psychology, sociology and philosophy, as to better understand ourselves, others, and life itself.

Along for the ride is I, Jani, 25 years old (yes, I admit it). Between the ages of 9 and 11 I lived in Cambridgeshire, so this isn’t my first time experiencing the UK. Regardless, Glasgow is a whole new adventure, and we’re inviting you along for the journey. My topic of choice for the four years will be Politics, with some poking around at Sociology, Antropology and Applied Sciences, as well as some Economic and Social History. (Wow, that’s a mouthful!) On these pages you’ll witness the new, the exciting, the bad, the good, the rants, the sights, and everything else that goes with moving to a new city and country, starting university, and growing up. We’re writing this blog for our friends, our family, and anyone potentially coming to Glasgow to study who’s curious about what it’s like.

Just 10 days to go before we jet off to the next chapter in our lives.
